My professional journey began in the mid-1980s in automated ceramic process manufacturing. I started close to physical operations—helping construct and commission factories, install heavy machinery on foundations, run trial batches, and manage day-to-day responsibilities across shift production, quality assurance, R&D, materials, and dispatch.
That manufacturing environment gave me hands-on exposure to industrial automation long before “Industry 4.0” became common terminology. Working directly with Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), limit switches, optical inspection systems, SCADA, and PLCs taught me automation through the daily realities of material movement, equipment control, and operational continuity. Those experiences formed the practical foundation for how I view today’s AI-enabled and autonomous technologies—not as isolated software, but as tools that must remain connected to real operational needs and decisions.
That operational foundation shaped how I approached the next three decades of SAP and enterprise transformation. Across SAP R/3, ECC, APO, IBP, Digital Manufacturing, Intelligent Asset Management, and S/4HANA programs, my focus has remained consistent: connecting technology with manufacturing realities, digital supply chains, disciplined processes, clear governance, and measurable business outcomes.
Today, I bring this combined shop-floor and enterprise perspective to SAP S/4HANA, digital supply chain, enterprise architecture, and business-focused AI. My focus in AI is not on developing algorithms, but on identifying practical use cases, enabling responsible adoption, and translating technology into meaningful operational and business value.
